Business Intelligence Analyst

Wil jij jouw BI-expertise inzetten in een organisatie waar data direct bijdraagt aan een duurzamere wereld? Waar je niet alleen dashboards bouwt, maar écht invloed hebt op besluitvorming in een complexe, operationele business?
Binnen Renewi zoeken we een Business Intelligence Analyst die verder kijkt dan rapportages. Iemand die data begrijpt, doorvraagt tot de kern en inzichten vertaalt naar heldere, bruikbare stuurinformatie. Jij vervult een cruciale rol in het verwezenlijken van rapportages die helpen de voortgang ten opzichte van doelstellingen te meten.

Wat ga je doen?
Je verdiept je in processen en bronsystemen en begrijpt hoe data tot stand komt.
Je haalt requirements op, stemt KPI‑ en datadefinities af en zorgt voor eenduidigheid.
Je ontwerpt en bouwt robuuste, schaalbare datamodellen als basis voor betrouwbare inzichten.
Je vertaalt data naar heldere data‑visualisaties en gebruiksvriendelijke Power BI‑dashboards.
Je analyseert afwijkingen, signaleert kansen en adviseert proactief over stuurinformatie.
Je draagt bij aan de doorontwikkeling en kwaliteit van bestaande rapportages.
Je werkt met data over onder andere Finance, Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Processing, Sustainabilty en SHEQ – en krijgt daarmee een breed en impactvol speelveld.

Wie ben jij?
Je bent analytisch sterk, maar ook kritisch en nieuwsgierig. Je neemt niets zomaar aan en zoekt tot je het volledige plaatje begrijpt. Je houdt van technische uitdaging EN staat graag in contact met gebruikers om samen tot de beste oplossing te komen. Je combineert strategisch inzicht met nauwkeurige uitvoering en pakt zowel complexe datavraagstukken als detailgerichte taken, zoals Excel‑naar‑Power‑BI conversies, zelfstandig en met plezier op. Je bent niet alleen een meester in het ontrafelen van processen en systemen, maar ook ervaren in het bouwen van Power BI Dashboards en relaties.
Verder breng je mee:
HBO/WO opleiding in een technische richting (Wiskunde, BI, IT) of een bedrijfskundige/economische richting aangevuld met technische vakken en ervaring.
Minimaal 3 jaar ervaring als BI Analyst / Reporting Analyst.
Sterke kennis van Power BI of een gelijksoortige BI tool.
Kennis en ervaring met dashboard design (UX/UI en data visualisatie).
Aantoonbare ervaring met SQL en data modellering.
Ervaring met Databricks, Azure, Visual Studio Code en GitHub is een pre.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

As Finance Business Partner Supply Chain, you operate at the heart of this transformation. You don’t just report the numbers—you validate, challenge and ensure delivery. You make sure that improvement initiatives translate into real, measurable and sustainable P&amp;L impact.

Your Mission:
Own the financial impact of transformation: You validate and monitor the financial impact of high-impact Supply Chain initiatives. You ensure savings are real, measurable and structurally embedded in our financial results—beyond one-off improvements.
Drive cost-out and performance improvement: You provide financial leadership on cost reduction and operational improvement programmes. You track performance, identify gaps and ensure corrective actions are taken to deliver committed targets.
From initiative to P&amp;L reality: You develop and monitor KPIs, track savings realisation and oversee implementation costs. You distinguish between structural improvements and temporary gains—and ensure sustainability over time.
Strategic partner to the business: You act as a trusted finance partner to the PMO, Program Director, project teams and business owners. You challenge assumptions, validate business cases and hold stakeholders accountable for delivery.
Enable disciplined investment decision: You support CAPEX governance across operational assets (trucks, yellow goods, containers). You ensure robust business cases, disciplined capital allocation and strong follow-up on returns.
Bridge finance and operations: You work closely with Supply Chain and Operations, translating operational performance into financial insight. You bring clarity, structure and focus in a fast-moving transformation environment.
What you bring:
7–12 years of experience in Finance (Finance Business Partnering, FP&amp;A or similar)
Strong track record in performance improvement, cost optimisation or transformation environments
Experience in an operational, industrial or asset-heavy setting (e.g. logistics, supply chain, manufacturing)
Strong analytical skills (financial modelling, Excel, Power BI)
Ability to challenge senior stakeholders and drive accountability
Experience working in project or programme environments (PMO exposure is a plus)
Solid understanding of CAPEX and investment governance
Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or related
Fluent in both Dutch &amp; English
Hands-on, structured and resilient&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

As Head of Finance E-waste, you operate at the heart of this transformation. You combine financial leadership with sharp business insight and act as the strategic finance partner to the Managing Director E-waste. Together, you steer performance, enable growth and build a future-proof, data-driven business in one of the fastest-growing recycling segments.

Your Mission
Lead &amp; develop a high-performing finance function You build, lead and inspire a finance team supporting an international, asset-intensive business. You drive a culture of ownership, performance and continuous improvement.
Strategic partner to the Managing Director E-waste You are the financial right hand of the MD. You challenge and support on strategy, investments, commercial decisions and long-term value creation—balancing growth, risk and return.
Drive performance through insight You own forecasting, budgeting, reporting and performance management across the E-waste business. You translate operational and commercial data into clear insights that steer margin, cash and capital efficiency.
Enable commercial and operational excellence You work across the full value chain—from collection to processing and recycling. You identify value drivers, optimise pricing and contracts, and improve asset utilisation in a complex, regulated environment.
Lead transformation and professionalisation You initiate and lead improvement programs across finance, systems and ways of working. You help further professionalise the business and embed a data-driven performance culture.
Connect across functions and stakeholders You bridge finance with operations, commercial teams and group functions. You align stakeholders and ensure strong governance, compliance and decision-making.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
What you bring
10+ years of relevant experience in Finance, including Finance Business Partnering, FP&amp;A or similar roles in an industrial, asset-heavy or complex environment
Strong track record in financial leadership and team management
Experience supporting P&amp;L-driven businesses and senior stakeholders
Strong analytical skills (financial modelling, Excel, Power BI)
Affinity with operations and commercial dynamics (pricing, contracts, margins)
Experience in transformation, performance improvement or scaling businesses is a strong plus
Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or related
Fluent in English and conversational level Dutch
A proactive, hands-on mindset with the ability to bring structure in a dynamic environment

Your impact:
As Director Internal Audit, you play a critical role in strengthening financial governance and internal control across the organisation in a complex, operational environment. You lead independent assurance activities with a strong focus on financial integrity, control effectiveness and transparency towards the Board and key stakeholders. Your responsibilities include:
